All works begin with a Murano glass base: a flat crystal panel or a piece of glasswork with a more complex shape such as a vase, a plate or a blown globe.  After this stage,  a thin layer of pure 24kt gold  is spread on the glass.  This will create the basis on what will be sketched in detail of the background , the landscape or the setting with a metal tip.  Finally, the colorful figures that will give life and a three-dimensional representation to the artwork will be painted with a particular enamel.
